Fife Schools

Thirty four Fins’ swimmers had an outstanding day at the recent Fife Schools Championships when thirteen of the swimmers won a total of 20 championship titles and a further nine swimmers won a medal. Only two of the swimmers just failed to gain a top ten finish. Overall the swimmers returned a very acceptable 70% improvement rate and nine of the swims that didn’t return a PB still won the event.
The 11 years and under swimmers are restricted to two swims and the remaining swimmers are restricted to three swims, one of which should be a 200m or over event.
Two of the swimmers each won three titles and they were Ne┼ża Dolenc-Luznar (Balwearie HS), 12/13 girls, who won 100m and 200m Butterfly and the 100m Freestyle; and Catherine Comrie (Inverkeithing HS), 16/O girls, who won 100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Individual Medley.

Dawn Lawrie, who reduced her 50m Freestyle by 13.40 seconds; Rhianna Henderson, who reduced her 100m Backstroke by 8.51 seconds; and Euan Pate, who reduced his 200m Individual Medley by 6.75 seconds.
